Scent Sports
We all know that dogs have a great sense of smell so why not let your dog do what they love and earn titles along the way! This sport is based on the work of professional detection dogs. Dog search for a cotton swab saturated with specific essential oils hidden out of sight in a pre-determined search area. The dog indicates to the handler that they found it and the handler calls it out to the judge. Teams are judged on a qualify/non-qualify basis. Here are some helpful links for more information.
